En novembre 2019 il se retrouve en difficult\u00e9 lors dune exp\u00e9dition en Arctique. Il part accompagn\u00e9 de laventurier norv\u00e9gien, partis en bateau depuis, ils rejoignent la banquise le 12 septembre puis continuent \u00e0 ski pour traverser lArctique jusquau 8 d\u00e9cembre o\u00f9 ils sont r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9s. Leur travers\u00e9e aura dur\u00e9 87 jours au lieu de 60 jours initialement pr\u00e9vus. \u00c0 plusieurs reprises, Mike Horn tomba dans leau glac\u00e9 notamment \u00e0 cause de la fonte des glaces et du il en a m\u00eame perdu ses orteils.
